ATM concepts roadmap

The Engage 2 team is developing an ATM concepts roadmap, capturing an innovative set of concepts beyond the SESAR 3 timeframe. This has been initially developed using an AI-based trend analysis, using over 500 ATM documents and conference papers. The results and plans are captured in a deliverable and a SIDs 2025 paper GenAI and knowledge generation in ATM – current research and anticipated prospects [Authors: Gurtner G, Cook A, Tanner G]

Adopting an open science approach is crucial for reducing innovation cycles in ATM by ensuring independent verification and validation of results (reproducibility). This survey explores requirements for open data, reproducibility, and the concept of an ‘open science alliance’ for ATM.
